Thinking a lot about direction of training and goals. After about 6weeks of trying to lift more, less conditioning and more food, I am up to BW of 190. That is about 15lbs in 5 weeks. But, I really do not feel that much stronger. No doubt this is 5/3/1 and eating more Carbs/sweets. But, is this consistent with my long term goals...do compete in local master's weightlifting and also have enough conditioning to hang when I need to hang. I do not know. Nonetheless, following 5/3/1 for 5 weeks has taught me a lot about the program.

It taught you a lot....so, what did you learn exactly?
190#'s eh? Now you're up past me. That's a first. Not a jab, just stating fact. I too have been tinkering with diet (and eating too much sugar which is NOT part of the desired change) and am up 5LBS.
There are times when I feel stronger and equally as fast. And other times where I feel strength is the same and I feel slower.
Hard to tell if it's right or wrong...
