10 rounds for time of:
10 Pull-ups
10 Ring dips

Still feeling Linda from yesterday. I did the first 5rounds in 4min, then it got hard. My back, especially lats are sore from Linda. I think Linda is a WOD that should be done very infrequently.
On another note, I have found a new favorite blog. It is Dutch Lowry blog. It is full of his thoughts with some awesome tips. On post was on the cost of doing certain WODs and the effect that recovering from those WODs has on future performance. I thought about Linda yesterday. I wanted to do it, had the time, did with full effort, I know it will probably take a few more days before I am stronger from it. But, I knew I had a few days to recover. Another place I am spending a lot of free time is CrossFit Balboa, and from that maxfitusa.com. If I was going to following another CF program, it would be maxfit.

Agreed with CF Balboa and Maxfit.
My new favorite CF blog is OPT's. They program fantastic workouts, have a great long-term programming and their folks are showing some serious results.
Regarding yesterday's FGB - I don't remember the specific breakdown but I "made my money" on the box jumps and push press. Box jumps were something like 40/35/30 and push press was 35/30/30. I rested on the row because I thought no matter how hard I pull and wear myself out on the row I might only get 3 or 4 extra cals. Didn't seem worth it to kill myself on that particular evolution.
Solid time on the pull-ups/ring dips WOD. You beat my time by 3 and change. I didn't break the pull-ups but my dips were mostly 3s and 4s.
Maybe you can help me out...but I didn't see anything resembling CrossFit on that MaxFit site???? Just pilates, spin class and a lot of people giving the thumbs up....you can't be serious??
My mistake, check out maxfit.com you will see why i was confused.
So Maxfitusa.com is a badass site. That programing looks really good. It is similar in difficulty to some of the Navy seals WODS.
I'm doing the Pre SOF WOD's b/c I have seen good results with them before and I want improve my running and bodyweight workouts to where they were. I am not happy with my performance recently so I'm going to get back to what was working before.
It is a grueling routine but I understand why they design it that way.
I have worked with the JTF also, they are some very cool guys and excellent at what they do. I think it's a dream of a lot of army guys to make it in the JTF but it's not in my foreseeable future.
Sean,
Pat has been telling me about this maxfit.com website, and I have really been questioning his motives. I have been to the maxfit.com website several times trying to figure out what the heck Pat is so inspired about.... Finally you have pointed out the correct website.
I just briefly looked over the maxfitusa.com website and it sounds a lot more in line with what Pat and I were talking about the other day.... So Pat i am now deleting the e-mail i was going to send to you.
thanks again,
Jason,
Dutch's blog was solid. Thanks for the heads-up.
